Mental Disorders and Dehumanization: A Systematic Review

Background: The concept of dehumanization keeps pace with human history and means the denial humanness to another being. Purpose: aim this review is study literature in field mental health investigate existence dehumanization. Method: A was conducted from 2002 2022 using keywords Google scholar, Pubmed, PsycInfo Scopus Databases. Results: It seems that there are some disorders have dehumanizing characteristics. Also way diagnostic manuals used (DSM-5), communication between specialist-patient, labels stigma illness, biogenetic explanations characteristics psychiatric clinics. Conclusion: shows patients experience therefore measures should be taken prevent limit phenomenon.
